Craps is an exciting casino game, in which players bet on rolls of two dice. The rules are easy to learn, and players can have a lot of fun at craps, whether playing in real casinos or online.
All players take turns in rolling the dice, and everyone bets on the outcome of the same roll. The player who's turn is it to roll the dice is called the "shooter".
All bets must be placed before the shooter rolls the dice, keep in mind that best are on the total of both dice together. The first roll is known as the "come-out" roll, and any "pass line" bets placed on either 7 or 11 win instantly on this roll. On the other hand, "craps" is when a 2,3 or 12 is rolled, and it means an instant loss for pass-line bets. If (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10) is rolled, this is called the "point".
A pass-line bet will also win when the point comes up again, however if a 7 is rolled before the point "seven-out", the bet is lost. After a seven-out, the dice are handed over to the next player to take their turn as shooter. An alternative to the pass bet is the "don’t pass" bet, which wins if the come-out roll is 2 or 3, loses if the come out is 7 or 11 and ties if the come out is 12. If any other number is rolled, setting the point, the don’t pass bet will win if a seven is rolled before the point comes up.
"C ome" and "Don't come" bets are virtually the same as the pass and don’t pass bets, with the exception that they are made after the point has been set. There are many other bets possible in a game of craps, but these are the basic bets to get you started.
Casino craps tables are staffed by four employees; a boxman who is responsible for the chips, two base dealers who collect and pay bets and a stickman who announces each roll and collects the dice after play. However in online casinos, these jobs are done by the very latest software.
Pai Gow Poker is a game based on a combination of 7-card stud poker and Pai Gow, an ancient Chinese game played using domino tiles.
The game is played with a full deck of 52 cards with the addition of one joker. The joker can be used as an Ace or to complete a Flush or Straight. Each player is dealt seven cards which must be arranged into two hands; the high hand consisting of five cards and a low hand with two cards. The high hand must cave a higher value than the low hand. The hands are ranked using traditional poker values, with the exception that a hand of A2345 is the second highest straight.
The player wins if both their hands are of higher value than both the banker's hands, and the player loses if both of the banker's hands are higher. If the player wins one hand and the banker wins the other, both lose.
The banker can be either the dealer or any of the players at the table, and the banker designates which player will be dealt the first hand by a roll of three dice.
Once dealt, each player places their two hands face down in the specially marked boxes on the table. Once all the hands are set, the dealer will then expose the banker's hand. Then each player's hand will be turned up and individually compared to the banker's hand. If the banker loses against a player, it does not have any effect on the other player's hands.
The dealer will then calculate and payout any wins and collect lost bets. Casinos take a 5% commission on all winning bets
